This transfer design is ready to apply to your t-shirt or tote bag using only a household iron. Instructions are included. The hot fix glue that is already applied to the back of each stone is permanent when applied and is activated by heat. A garment blinged with this rhinestone design can be machine washed on gentle and laid flat to dry.

    Necessity Is An Odd Word

    While rhinestone letters can't quite be characterized as a "necessity" by anyone with any sincerity, I had previously used these specific letters for a project for my dog. When I adopted a second dog and wanted to add her name to the item, as well, I found that the remainder of the letters I had previously purchased had moved around the transfer page so substantially that they were unusable. Though time had passed, they weren't THAT old and certainly shouldn't have deteriorated in quality as they did. Thus, I purchased a second set out of "necessity" to match the original lettering exactly. However, given their shelf life -- despite proper storage -- I would not purchase them again. If used immediately, they are fiddly, but they add charm to a project.

    These were easy to apply. I bought them for my 12 year old daughter to put her name on her PE uniform and they've worked great! She was even able to apply them herself without my help.

    For the Crafty

    You have to be pretty crafty to use this product. The letters are close together and must be cut apart and ironed on carefully since being so small they shift around. Having said that, I applied them to my daughter's backpack and they managed to survive the first months of school and are still in tact so far despite the heavy traffic this backpack has endured.

    I gave this a 4 star because the little package of extra rhinestones did not iron on very well, the letters themselves were amazingly easy to transfer and blindingly bright, and it came with an extra rhinestone star. I used these to decorate the top of a graduation cap.
